MV2 PROCESS MANAGEMENT
Process Management continues to build upon the foundation established by Data Capture and Plant Communications. It offers greater sophistication than traditional data collection by imbedding events into predetermined workflows. These workflows have two primary purposes:
1.) Provide a valuable source of meaningful information to end users
2.) Mask the tedious data entry processes associated with typical data collection solutions through workflows which exploit the data that is already known to the system.
The affect is that non-value add events, like entering ERP centric data into the system, become a thing of the past as workflows streamline and replace those time consuming processes.
Process Management supports production workers from the time they arrive to the time they leave. Processes include attendance, labor reporting, production reporting, electronic kanbans, quality testing and non-conformance reporting. Crew reporting is made easy with tools for lead personnel or supervisors to represent the work of many through one lead person.
Similar to Data Capture, Process Management also offers alerts and notifications that help discover production issues and communicate those occurrences to the right people across the enterprise. A manage by exception environment is even more enabled through Process Management. Additional KPIs and measurements are fed from the data captured in the Process Management workflows which feed the Production Monitor component of MV2. Like all aspects of MV2, ERP is also immediately updated with transactions as events occur.
Through these tools the end user acceptance level of the system goes up dramatically. They come to depend on the system as a valuable source of information which they depend upon to accurately conduct their day to day work assignments. This is key to optimizing the results of the system overall.
