Data Capture is the first building block of the foundation offerings. Data Capture holds the core database synchronization engine which enables the real-time exchange of data with ERP and other external systems that depend upon manufacturing centric data. Data Capture will integrate with automation systems on the plant floor thereby eliminating manual entry and the associated overhead. Data Capture and the Process Management tool ensure as close to 100% accuracy of the data as possible. With these tools being workflow based, there is minimal disruption to the worker’s primary responsibilities of producing product.

However, Data Capture also provides a simple set of factory data collection tools to get transactions into the system from your shop floor. This is more of an event based solution since the control of what data to enter and when to enter data into the system becomes the responsibility of the end user. Regardless of the method, all data is validated real-time against current master file information so errors can be avoided before they are even accepted into the system.
